.SWY-1001 Screen-Printing Black Watermark Ink is a solvent-based volatile drying ink, compatible with most screen printing machines available on the market. Air drying is the recommended curing method; oven drying may compromise the watermark effect to some extent.
SWY-1001 Screen-Printing Black Watermark Ink features fine particles and high viscosity. Stir thoroughly before use, or dilute it with 5%–10% of solvents such as 783 or DBE prior to printing. A screen with 300–350 mesh count is generally recommended for application.
This ink is typically printed between two layers of laminated paper. For single-side paper substrates, it is advisable to print on the reverse side of the paper with a screen of 350–420 mesh count. To achieve an effect closer to that of watermarked paper, apply a screen ruling of 30–50 lines to the pattern.
Before official machine printing with SWY-1001 Screen-Printing Black Watermark Ink, adjust all printing parameters—including screen mesh count, squeegee angle, printing pressure, ink viscosity, and drying time—according to the printing substrate and pattern. Conduct a small-batch test beforehand.
For optimal watermark performance, this ink should be applied to paper with a grammage of less than 80 g/m².
SWY-1001 Screen-Printing Black Watermark Ink is not weather-resistant, acid-alkali resistant, or high-temperature resistant. Avoid using it in high-temperature or outdoor environments as much as possible.
