GW-1120 Water-Activated Color-Changing Ink
GW-1120 Water-Activated Color-Changing Ink is a type of gravure water-based ink refined from imported materials
Non-toxic, odorless and pollution-free, this product is non-flammable and non-explosive. It does not contain carcinogens such as benzene and formaldehyde, nor does it have harmful heavy metals.
It is mainly suitable for the pattern printing of sanitary products such as diapers.

Product Performance
This ink features excellent printability and fast drying speed. When printing on plastic films such as PE cast film and breathable film, it delivers sharp graphics and complete screen dots. The ink film boasts strong adhesion, resisting cracking or peeling off even after repeated folding and rubbing, and the printed patterns show no blocking when folded and pressed.
Patterns printed with this ink are storage-stable, durable, safe and eco-friendly. It undergoes an irreversible color change from yellow to blue upon contact with water, enabling quick identification of water exposure in products. It is ideal for pattern printing on sanitary products like diapers.
 
Usage Instructions
 
Ensure all printing equipment is thoroughly cleaned before use to avoid ink contamination and product defects.
For optimal color density of printed patterns, we recommend using the ink in its original form. The optimal engraving depth of the gravure cylinder is 50 μm. As this is a water-based ink, make sure the ink film is completely dry before rewinding.
Gravure printing process sequence: 
Water-based base ink → Drying → Color-changing ink → Drying → Protective coating
During storage or printing, the ink may thicken due to solvent evaporation. Users can add a diluent (a mixture of purified water and alcohol) as needed, or blend the original ink with the diluent in the ink tank before stirring thoroughly for continued printing. Note: Regularly check the viscosity of the ink in the tank and the color of printed patterns.
To ensure consistent water-activated color-changing performance, do not add or allow contact with other water-based inks or any organic thinners.
Transfer printed finished products to the warehouse promptly, away from organic gases in the printing workshop to prevent discoloration or fading of patterns. We recommend sealing the products in opaque packaging to protect them from sunlight and humid environments, which can also cause pattern discoloration.
